Be Part Of Our Working Bees
Join Us – Volunteer with The Friends of Boroondara (Kew) Cemetery
We warmly invite you to be part of our dedicated volunteer community. Our working bees are held twice a month — on the first Saturday and the third Wednesday of each month — starting at 10:00 am and finishing around 1:00 pm. You’re welcome to stay for the whole session or drop in for as long as your schedule allows. Every little bit helps!
During our working bees, we come together to weed garden beds, sweep paths, tidy gravesites, and when conditions allow, we plant and nurture new life throughout the cemetery. Our aim is to maintain and enhance the beauty, tranquility, and historical significance of this important site for future generations.
No experience is necessary — just a willingness to lend a hand and an appreciation for heritage and community spirit. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or simply looking to get involved in something meaningful, we’d love to have you with us.
Together, we are making a difference — one garden bed, one grave, one morning at a time.
Come along, bring a hat and gloves, and be part of something special.
