Our Process – 6 Simple Steps
1.Approach
At T.K. Old Homes, we take the time to truly understand your vision — no matter how big or small, simple or complex. Whether you have detailed house plans and project documentation, or just initial concepts and renders, we’re here to guide you every step of the way. Our team works closely with respected industry partners and consultants to develop the necessary project documentation, ensuring a seamless process and the best possible outcome from start to finish.
2.Research
We will meet with you onsite to assess the scope of work, take photos and consult with trusted trades and suppliers. Factors like site conditions, budget and timeframes will guide the next steps.
3.Project Estimate
We will provide a detailed, obligation-free quote. Quotes are comprehensive, valid for 30 days and usually cover all costs, including materials, labour and GST.
4.Commencement
After quote acceptance and contract formalisation, T.K. Old Homes will apply for any relevant permit approvals (e.g. Building Permit) and start padding out your project schedule to set your project up for success.
5.Collaboration
We keep communication channels open throughout your project and do so via our customised client portal, Buildertrend. We also ensure you have time, both in office and onsite, to discuss the details of your project.
6.Completion
Upon completion, T.K. Old Homes will conduct a formal handover. Any minor defects will be identified, addressed and resolved following the pre-handover inspection/walk-through.
